From: information@triforlife.com Subject: Breath of Life Ventura Triathlon (Olympic & Sprint) - Sunday June 25, 2006 Date: Mon, 09 Jan 2006 09:55:00 -0800 Dear Triathletes: The 8th annual Breath Of Life Ventura Triathlon will be held on Sunday June 25, 2006 at San Buenaventura State Beach, Ventura, California. The Olympic distance is 1.5k (.9 mi) ocean swim, 40k (24.8 mi) bike, and 10k (6.2 mi) run. The Sprint distance is 400m (.24 mi) ocean swim, 20.4k (12.7 mi) bike, and 5k (3.1 mi) run. Relay teams will race on the Olympic course only. Large complementary food fair including bbq, pizza and beer garden will follow the race. We are proud to announce that USA Triathlon has selected the Breath Of Life Ventura sprint race to represent the Southwest region in the inaugural Grand Prix Sprint Series. The purpose of the Grand Prix Series is to showcase a selection of the best USAT sanctioned events. The Breath Of Life Ventura Triathlon sold out in 2005 and we expect to sellout again this year. The money raised from this year's triathlon will go to establish a new outpatient pediatric infusion facility in the Mattel Children's Hospital in Los Angeles.
